These were hanging around on my ipad from our special camping day. The students has a great time snuggling up with their blankets and stuffed animals and we had a cracking fire on the smart board. We have enjoyed having the tent as a work space in our classroom so much that we've decided to keep it for a little while longer.

French Play Note and Weekly Words
Hi Families,
We will be presenting our French plays in our classroom for parents/grandparents - anyone willing to be a friendly audience for us in two weeks!
To keep it short and sweet, we’ve divided the groups into two days:
Wednesday, January 29th, Group 1, 2, 4 @ 12 pm (max 30 mins)
Thursday, January 30th - Group 3, 5 @ 12 pm (max 20-25 mins)
- I will give as much notice as possible if any dates need to be changed
Costume suggestions - we will provide/create whatever we can at school, but if you have any of the following, please bring it in and we will store it in your child’s group bin. Clothing items can stay at home until presentation day if they are used often at home, but we will happily store them until presentation day if brought in early. Any creative input / inspiration is welcome!

I’ve sent home your child’s speaking parts to rehearse plus the lyrics to a song we will be singing as part of our presentation. Practising these both 3X through can count as 3 reading log entries.
Merci!

Camping Day - Wednesday!
Dear Parents,
The students have earned a special day which will take place on Wednesday, January 22rd. It will be business as usual in our classroom, except for 45 mins of preferred activity time (P. A. T.) and the fact that they’d like to have a “camping day” theme. They have earned this day through our collaborative stones system (as you see recorded in their planners each day). I will bring in some small tents and lanterns and the students can wear their pajamas and bring in a blanket and a small pillow and/or stuffy. I told them that whatever they bring in must be okay with a parent and they should be able to carry it to and from school without too much difficulty. Some asked if they could bring in a small flashlight and I have no problem with this as long as it’s okay with the adult(s) at home.
They are very excited, so thank you for helping us engage in this positive reward for 5 months of hard work.
Merci,
R. Glenn-Lynes
